PROGRAM DIRECTOR
High Jump is seeking an energetic and innovative individual with strong leadership and organizational skills to design and deliver a high quality academic program to talented middle school students.
As we move into our 21st year of service to the community, High Jump is planning significant expansion of its offerings and is searching for a Program Director that can grow with the program. The ideal candidate will create a professional environment and must have the ability to work effectively with students and parents of disadvantaged backgrounds in addition to interfacing with Board members and donors. The Program Director reports to the Executive Director of High Jump.
Primary responsibilities of the Program Director would include:
- Design and evaluation of a high quality, innovative enrichment curriculum for talented middle school students
- Recruitment and hiring of teachers and teaching assistants
- Evaluation, professional development, and mentoring of faculty
- Managing the process of student recruitment and selection for the program
- Serving as the primary point of contact for parents of students in program
- Evaluating student progress
- Managing a staff of 2 full-time employees and 25 part-time faculty
- Supporting students and families in the high school recruiting, financial aid and admissions process
- Assisting the Executive Director with Board of Directors and donor relations
- Establishing and enhancing relationships with university and other institutional partners
Qualifications:
- Experience in an academically challenging middle school/high school environment
- Experience in curriculum design and implementation
- Experience in hiring, evaluation and mentoring of faculty
- Experience with foundations and grants a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
High Jump is a seeking an EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT to provide administrative support the the Executive Program Director and staff.
This position interfaces with the board of directors on behalf of the executive director; assists with scheduling, confirming, and managing all meetings; maintains organizational files & office forms; prepares, faxes & files correspondence; assists with the maintenance of all donor gifts; assists with the production and dissemination of all direct mailings, mass mailings, and invitations; assists in the production of the newsletter and maintenance of the website; and other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, have strong administrative skills, have experience with Raiser's Edge or similar development software or database experience, demonstrate positive interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with other staff members, parents, and the community.
